Board of Education recognizes Title I Reward School

On Thursday evening, the Board of Education held its monthly meeting. Keith Lyle called the meeting to order, and Winston Rollins gave the invocation. Superintendent Dr. Boyd English nominated Keith Lyle as the Board Chair for the 2025 Calendar Year, with Winston Rollins nominated as Vice Chair.
The board chair then adopted the agenda and approved the meeting minutes. The meeting included special recognition and presentations for Title I Rewards, Chip Davis, Federal Program Director, honored West Bainbridge Primary School faculty: Principal Ortega Ross, Assistant Principal RC Tucker, and Instructional Coach Dana Martin with a plaque for their hard work.
There was no public participation. Dr. Boyd English provided updates on administrative services and construction, expressing excitement about the progress on the new Bainbridge Middle School: “We are really excited about what’s going on in the new Bainbridge Middle School.”
Faculty will vote on the calendar options for the 2025-26 and 2026-27 school years on January 21. The faculty and staff were also thanked for their participation in the “Biscuits for the Best” event.
Finally, the board approved action items related to out-of-town/overnight field trips, the 2025 Board Meeting Calendar, and personnel matters.
