Last Wednesday, the First Port City Bank (FPCB) Employee Contribution Committee donated $2,000 to the Decatur County Schools Foundation.

FPCB engages in various quarterly projects to support local organizations and foster community prosperity. For example, they raised funds for picnic tables at the YMCA and partnered with Bainbridge High School for installation. They have also supported the Salvation Army, Still Waters, and numerous other organizations.

Funds are raised through voluntary staff activities, such as Casual Friday, where employees pay $5 to wear casual attire on Fridays.

To determine fund recipients, FPCB holds round table discussions in February and March. Occasionally, organizations petition for funds based on their intended use, and the bank finalizes its decision accordingly.

Stacy Warren, Assistant Vice President of Corporate Secretary and Human Resources, stated, “Our involvement in these projects is a way to give back to the community and help Bainbridge prosper.”
