Last Tuesday, Rotary members held their weekly luncheon meeting, where Gerard Kwilecki introduced the guest speaker, District Governor Gordon Owens. Owens discussed the “Magic of Rotary,” highlighting the dedication of its members to create positive change in the world. Rotary members perform “magic” by coming together to help their communities, bringing hope and joy to those in need.

The luncheon meeting took on a different tone with the arrival of Owens, who is known for his hands-on approach. Owens joined Rotary members in various activities throughout the day. They helped pack food for elementary school children, toured the scout house, and assisted with food box packing at the Salvation Army, which provides food boxes to those in need. The visit ended with a social gathering at Southern Philosophy Brewing.
