Hannah Michelle Scarborough and Danny Ray Grubbs Jr., both of Bainbridge, are pleased to announce their engagement.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Micheal and Jan Scarborough of Blakely, Ga. She is the granddaughter of Carol Peterson of Cuthbert, Ga., and the late Kenneth Peterson, and of the late John and Margaret Scarborough.

Miss Scarborough is a 2007 graduate of Early County High School and is attending Bainbridge College pursuing a degree in nursing. She is currently employed with Memorial Hospital and Manor as an emergency room technician.

The groom-elect is the son of Gail Grubbs of Bainbridge and the late Danny Grubbs Sr. He is the grandson of Dottie Matthews of Bainbridge and the late Charles B. Matthews Sr., and Mattie Cato of Eldorendo, Ga., and the late Joe B. Grubbs Sr.

He is a 2005 graduate of Bainbridge High School and is employed with TransMontaigne as a terminal operator.

The wedding is planned for April 2 at 2 p.m. at the First Church of the Nazarene in Bainbridge. The reception will follow at the Firehouse Center and Gallery. All family and friends are invited to attend.
