Funeral services for Betty Joyce Carroll, 63, who died March 19, 2011, in New Port Richie, Fla., will be held Thursday, March 24, at 11 a.m. at Cox-Ware Funeral Home.

Interment will follow at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Carroll was a resident of Southern Pines Health Care in New Port Richey, and led an active, meaningful Christian life.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Hill Carroll; her mother, Nonie Hollenbeck, and a sister, Mae Smith.

Mrs. Carroll is survived by one son, Ben Harmon Carroll; sisters, Grace Schmitt of Cerrillos, N.M., and Alice Hurley of New Port Richey, Fla., and a host of family members and friends.

Cox-Ware Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
