• Second Elizabeth M.B. Church — The church, located at 2718 Attapulgus Highway, in Quincy, Fla., will observe Father’s Day on June 17 at 11 a.m., with Pastor John Gardner delivering the message and song service by the Young Adult Choir ministry.

• Emanuel M.B. Church — The church, located at 161 Emanuel Church Road, in Fowlstown, will hold Vacation Bible School on June 18-22 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on the theme “Heaven’s Kitchen.”

• Climax Baptist Church — The church, located at 204 W. Lee St., in Climax, will hold Vacation Bible School on June 18-22, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. for ages 2 to 12th grade.

• First Church of the Nazarene — The church, located at 415 W. Shotwell St., next to Dairy Queen, will hold “Adventures on Promise Island” Vacation Bible School for ages kindergarten through adult on June 18-22 at 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.

• St. Paul M.B. Church — The church, located at 2719 Thomasville Road, will have a Family Night Talk Show on Wednesday, June 20, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Theme is “Youth & Adults Bridging the Gap.”

• First African Baptist Church — The church, located at 115 Church St., will hold a deaconess workshop on Saturday, June 23, from 10 a.m. to noon. Rev. Roosevelt Bradwell, Pastor of Galilee M.B. Church in Midway, Fla., will be instructor.

• Piney Grove M.B. Church — The church, located in Whigham, will host a youth revival June 20-22 at 7:30 p.m. nightly with Rev. Kelvin Wells as evangelist. On Sunday, June 24, at 3 p.m., Rev. Tamorris Baulkman and Mt. Nebo Church will be in charge of the youth service.

• Union M.B. Church — The church, located at 703 Martin St., will host the Mass Choir’s 12th Summer Gospel Extravaganza concert under the direction of Russell McGriff on Sunday, June 24, at 5 p.m., with special guest, Deacon Ernest Spence of Camilla, Ga.

• Second Elizabeth M.B. Church — The church, located 2718 Attapulgus Highway, in Quincy, Fla., will have Vacation Bible School on Monday, June 25, and Tuesday, June 26, at 6 p.m. Friday, June 29, will be family night at 7 p.m.

• EDEN International Ministries — The church, located at 2550 Old Whigham Road, in Bainbridge, will hold services Friday, June 29, at 7 p.m., a banquet on Saturday, June 30, at 6 p.m., and Sunday, July 1, at 4 p.m., all in honor of the second pastoral anniversary of Dr. Calvin L. Lewis. Banquet is $20 per person.

• Calvary Baptist Church — The church, located at 601 Chason St., will be the site for the fourth annual Patriotic Celebration to be held on Sunday, July 1. Musicians and singers are needed to participate in this celebration of God and country, which is open to all citizens of Decatur County.
