Funeral services for Marie Helms Anglin, 84, of Donalsonville, Ga., were held on Monday, April 25, at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with the Revs. Johnny Taylor and Jerome Harbert officiating.

Interment followed in Friendship Memorial Gardens in Donalsonville with Bill Barrineau, Jeffery Braswell, Brandon Josey, Jeremy Mackey, Mike Shafer and Rusty Smith serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Cody Hawkins, Bubba Helms and Bert Jackson.

Mrs. Anglin was born in Donalsonville, on April 11, 1927 and died Friday, April 22, 2011 at the Donalsonville Hospital. She was a member of Oakview Church of God and a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her family and sewing.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie Abner and Rosada Baker Helms; a sister, Evelyn Pritchard; and a grandson, Eugene Hand.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Marvin Anglin of Donalsonville; a son, Buddy Anglin of Claxton, Ga.; a daughter, Patsy Hand of Headland, Ala.; two brothers, Billy Helms of Sumter, S.C. and Bobby Helms of Daleville, Ala.; two sisters, Ruby Jackson of Webb, Ala. and Yvette Reeder of Tallahassee, Fla.; three grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Evans-Skipper Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
