We regret to announce the passing of Mr. Waldo “Bo” McLeod, 86, of Donalsonville, Ga., who passed away Thursday morning, Sept. 13, 2012, at Seminole Manor Nursing Home.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012, at 2 p.m., at the First Presbyterian Church of Donalsonville, with Rev. Dan Jesup officiating and Dan Ponder giving the eulogy. Interment will follow in Friendship Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.

Mr. Bo was born in Ocala, Fla., on Aug. 23, 1926, to the late Robert McIntosh McLeod Sr. and Addie Lou Hill McLeod. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church and served in the armed forces during World War II. He owned and operated The Donalsonville News for many years.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn McLeod; three daughters, Janet Hill of Donalsonville, Sandy Johnson and her husband Mike of Alpharetta, Ga., Carol Ann Stovall and her husband Brian of Savannah, Ga.; one sister, Agnes Kingry of Macon, Ga.; sister-in-law, Rachel McLeod of Donalsonville. He is also survived by grandchildren; Meredith King, Matthew Hill, Miranda Hill, Brian Johnson, Jessica Johnson, Todd Johnson and Camden Stovall, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert McIntosh McLeod Sr. and Addie Lou Hill McLeod; two brothers, Bob McLeod and Lloyd McLeod; and one sister, Eunice Lee.

Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville is in charge of arrangements.
