On Monday, Oct. 29, at 11:30 a.m., Bainbridge Public Safety officers responded to a call at 925 5th St. Once on the scene, investigators discovered that four adults and one child had been victims of an armed robbery. One was also victim to a sexual assault.
The victims said that three of them, along with one child, were sitting on the porch of the residence when three black males with guns came up to them demanding money. When they responded that they didn’t have any money, the three adults were tied up and taken inside. A fourth victim, who came home while the crime was taking place, reported being sexually assaulted by the perpetrators.
“This is not a random home invasion,” said BPS Chief Investigator Major Robert Humphrey. “This house was targeted by the perpetrators for robbery.”
Bainbridge Public Safety is investigating the crime. Anyone with information is asked to contact Humphrey at (229) 515-0973.
