Mrs. Maudeen White Pearson, 76, of the Faceville community near Bainbridge, passed away Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013, at her residence.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013, at Morningside Baptist Church, with the Rev. Warren Fox and the Rev. Carl Dunn officiating. Interment will follow at Cool Springs Cemetery, with the Deacons of Morningside Baptist Church serving as active pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, at Ivey Funeral Home.

Mrs. Pearson was born Sept. 10, 1936, in Attapulgus, the daughter of Millard Boen White and Lenora Dean White. She was a graduate of Bainbridge High School and was a service representative for the Social Security Administration.

Mrs. Pearson was an active member of Morningside Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years and was the church historian. She was a member of the Decatur County Historical and Genealogical Society, served on the Cool Springs Cemetery board, and volunteered with the Breast Cancer Support Group. Maudeen loved being part of the Faceville community and sharing time with her friends.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, W. B. “Bill” White and Perry White.

Survivors include her sons, Philip Pearson and his wife, Annie, of Niceville, Fla., and Rodger Pearson and his wife, Jeanie, of Madison, Ala.; her grandchildren, Jonathan Pearson, Caleb Pearson, Stacie Parks, and Lindsey Pearson; and her great-grandson, Luke Winston Parks.
