Griffin signs to play college baseball

Bainbridge High School senior right-handed pitcher Gunnar Griffin recently committed to the University of Georgia as a preferred walk-on for UGA’s baseball team. As a preferred walk-on, Griffin will join the team’s roster and participate in fall practice when it begins in September. The Bulldogs’ baseball team is led by head coach David Perno. Joining Griffin in celebrating his new status as a Bulldog were his family, the Greg Waddell family, BHS baseball coaches and numerous other family, friends and BHS students. During his time at BHS, Griffin was the recipient of multiple academic awards for having the highest grade point average on the Bearcat baseball team.
