ACT/SAT Study Groups

All teens are invited to come and study for these tests together at 2 p.m. on Wednesdays this June and July. Special study resources are available to participants, so come in and find out what you need to know about these tests, and study with other teens. Revolutionary Reading

Come to the library to check out some fascinating books about the American Revolution to get into the holiday spirit and to learn about the hardships Americans endured bringing this country into freedom.

You may want to start off with the Pulitzer Prize-winning 1776, by David McCullough. This book recounts in very human terms the Revolutionary War. Cokie Roberts examines the women who were pivotal in making our country a nation in Founding Mothers: The Women Who Raised Our Nation. 1775: A Good Year for a Revolution, by Kevin Phillips, concentrates on all the important events that led up to the Revolution which began 1776.
