Nancy Larson Buie, age 67, of Dublin, passed away on Sunday, August 18, 2013. Memorial services will be held in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, August 21, 2013

Mrs. Buie, born July 19, 1946 in Bainbridge, Ga., to Thomas and Mary Powell Larson, both of whom preceded her in death.

Mrs. Buie, an army brat, was raised all over the country, including Michigan, Texas and Hawaii. Nancy and her husband Wayne recently celebrated 48 years of marriage together. They were high school sweethearts and lived with their family in Salisbury, N.C. for over a decade before moving to Dublin. She earned an executive secretarial degree from Heart of Georgia Technical College, worked for the VA Hospital for several years and prior to that was a legal secretary. A devoted wife, loving mother, and wonderful cook, she loved reading, cooking, fishing, and traveling. Always up for an adventure, upon her retirement she traveled to Europe several times and enjoyed it immensely.

Survivors include her devoted husband, Charles Wayne Buie, of Dublin, two sons, Chuck (Rhonda) Buie of Savannah, and Chandler (Nicole) Buie of Longview, Texas, and a daughter, Charla Buie Sathe (Nitin) of Alexandria, Va.; four grandchildren, Chas and Beau Buie of Savannah and Jack and Grace Ann Buie of Longview; a sister, Dianne Larson Fewell, of Columbia, S.C., her devoted caregiver and loyal friend, Gloria Smith, and a host of other beloved nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Nancy had many wonderful people who helped care for her including Tina Griffin, LaToya Mason, and many caring others.
