Dear Editor,
If you are one of the kind-hearted souls that are feeding the cats at the Boat Basin, I want to help.
I can help by getting them spayed and neutered, so there won’t be so many of these helpless creatures starving and alone. Two years ago, I started a program Marley Memorial spay/neuter for Cats. It was to help folks who couldn’t  afford the cost of spay/neuter on their own. Almost 300 cats have been helped through this non-profit program.
Now, in a partnership with the Bainbridge Humane Society, “Helping the Helpless,” has been able to take on a new meaning and a new task. We are trying to take care of the helpless cats that live in colonies throughout our county.
I know there are many of these colonies around, and many folks that help feed them. If you are one of these warm hearts, please call me. I want to help, but I can’t do it on my own.
