Mr. James Vinson Cook, Jr., 58, of Bainbridge died Friday, March 7, 2014, at Southeast Alabama Medical Center. Funeral services were Monday, March 10, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Sheffield Funeral Chapel with Rev. Steve Poppell officiating. Interment followed at Colquitt City Cemetery with Keith Shelton, Nathan Tomlinson, Carol Wynn, Wayne Bailey, Lanny Gainous, and Eddie Long serving as pallbearers.
Mr. Cook was of the Baptist faith. He was employed as a truck driver for Georgia Gulf Sulphur.
He is survived by one stepson, Keith (Elizabeth) Shelton of Cairo; six grandchildren, Kara Shelton, Brianna Shelton, Bradley Shelton, Tyler Vinson Cook, Emma Kurtz, and Kirsten Kurtz; one sister, Janice Suggs of Dothan, Ala.; and two cousins, Skipper Bryan of Bainbridge, and Charles Bryan of Dothan.
Colquitt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
