Soldiers should never be forgotten.
The men and women who risked their lives in war for the U.S. deserve the utmost honor and recognition. The newly renovated World War II hangar at the Decatur County Industrial Park is a perfect way to show that kind of appreciation.
Bainbridge has hung flags all over the city to show just how patriotic Decatur County is. Now, when visitors fly into the airport, they can see how much the county honors those who served, both in the past and present.
Its beautifully renovated architecture is attractive and classic, just the way it was when pilots training to fight in the air used it back in the 1940s.
The recognition ceremony Saturday showed that Decatur County can put together some very special moments for the military.
Residents should be proud an honored to know such a structure stands at the Industrial Park.
Take a visit and step back in time.
