Bainbridge cross-country shows speed at Pebble Hill

Coach Greta Conner’s Bainbridge Middle School Bearcats cross-country runner Caleb Harris won the Thomasville High School Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs two-mile race Saturday at Pebble Hill Plantation with a course record time of 10:34.

Harris is ranked first among the top fastest runners in Georgia in the two-mile. There are 1523 runners on the list. He is also currently ranked ninth in the United States boys cross-country in the two mile race. There are 8,445 on the milesplit.com list.

The middle school Bearcats finished second overall in an 18-team field. The top four Bearcat runners behind Harris were Jordan Davis, John Willis Maples, Chase Harrison and Conner Christopher.

Coach Conner’s Bainbridge Middle School Lady Cats finished sixth in a 14-team field. Their top five runners were Sandy Baker, Kodi Hanson, Chloe Enfinger, Sarah Johns and Lani Jackson.

Coach Yvette Green’s Bainbridge High School Bearcats finished fourth in a 19-team field. The top five runners were Bennett Enfinger, Brenden Greene, Perry Waddell, Wright Cook and Grayson Graham.

The top five finishers for coach Greene’s Bainbridge High School Lady Cats were Uriyah Davis, Aida Diaz, Camry Fillingame, MZadison Wiggins and Caitlin Shepherd.

The Bainbridge Middle School and Bainbridge High School Bearcats and Lady Cats cross-country teams will return to action Saturday when they travel to Albany to compete in the 33rd annual Westover Middle School and Westover High School Patriots and Lady Patriots Invitational Meet.
