It may not feel like autumn in Bainbridge yet, but the Bainbridge-Decatur County Chamber of Commerce is getting ready for the annual fall-time Bainbridge-Decatur County Fall Festival and Fair.
The fair kicks off at the Decatur County Fairgrounds Tuesday, Oct. 28 and will run until Saturday, Nov. 1. Gates will open each weekday at 6 p.m. and at 4 p.m. on Saturday.
For the most part, events will be similar to previous years, but this year, the Chamber is adding something new with a haunted house on Thursday and Friday nights, Chamber president Adrienne Harrison said.
“The haunted house is new. It’s something we’ve never done before, so we’re excited about it,” Harrison said.
The Michael Miller Band will also play Friday night, an event the Chamber attempted last year but had to cancel due to rain, said Ali Dowdy, Chamber executive vice president of member services.
Pre-sale tickets are available now for discounted prices at Bainbridge Pharmacy, the YMCA, Health Products & Yogurt Too, RX Drugs and various local banks in Bainbridge. Pre-sale armbands are $12, and pre-sale gate admission is $4. At-window armbands are $15 on Tuesday — Thursday and $16 Friday and Saturday. At-window gate admission is $5.
Vendor and exhibitor applications are open until Friday, Oct. 17. Space is limited and will be filled on a first-come-first-served basis, and any interested business or organization can contact Harrison or Dowdy for more information.
