On behalf of the State Bar of Georgia, I would like to offer congratulations to Bainbridge State College Police Chief James Spooner on receiving the inaugural Justice Award, presented by South Georgia Circuit District Attorney Joseph K. Mulholland.

Chief Spooner is well deserving of this honor in light of his record of service since starting the college’s police department and leading an investigation that resulted in a high-profile conviction.

While we congratulate Chief Spooner, members of the State Bar also commend and thank District Attorney Mulholland for his sponsorship of the award, which serves to remind the public of the importance of the rule of law and the cause of justice in our state.
