Senior Bearcats baseball players, Diamond Dolls honored on field

Eight Bainbridge High School Bearcat senior baseball players and two senior Diamond Dolls were honored during senior day ceremonies prior to the Bearcats 16-2 Region 1-AAAA victory over the Albany High School Indians Friday at the Bearcat Diamond.
The seniors played the first three innings and received a standing ovation when their replacements came in.
Senior Tyler Braswell was honored for completing six years in the Decatur County School System baseball program. He was escorted by his parents Chad and Rita Braswell. He is also a member of the Anchor Club and the Future Farmers of America. After graduation he plans to play college baseball and get a business degree.
Senior Hayden Godwin was honored for completing five years in the Decatur County School System baseball program. He was escorted by his parents Randyl and Cheryl Godwin. He is also a member of the Honor Society, the Wire Grass Church youth program and he will be an honor graduate.
After graduation, Godwin plans to attend Bainbridge State College for two years and transfer to complete his college education.
Senior Dustin Strickland was honored for completing six years in the Decatur County School System baseball program. He was escorted by his parents Mark and Linakay Strickland. He is a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. After graduation he plans to attend Tallahassee Community College for two years then transfer to further his education.
Senior Anderson Bailey was honored for completing three years in the Decatur County School System baseball program. He was escorted by his parents Ken and Vicki Bailey. He is a member of the Future Farmers of America, the Key Club and the National Honor Society. After graduation he plans to attend the University of North Georgia.
Senior Blake Merchant was honored for completing six years in the Decatur County School System baseball program. He was escorted by his parents Lee and Kim Merchant. He is a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, the Key Club, the Anchor Club and the Honor Society. After graduation he plans to finish his core glasses at Bainbridge State College and transfer to Armstrong State University to get his Bachelor of Science Degree.
Senior Stanton Long was honored for completing three years in the Decatur County School System Baseball program. He was escorted by his parents Dargan and Kelly Long. He enjoys hunting and playing golf. After graduation he plans to attend Bainbridge State College.
Senior Grayson Heard was honored for completing six years in the Decatur County School System baseball program. He was escorted by his parents Dale and Jill Heard. He was captain of the wrestling team for six years. After graduation he plans to attend Bainbridge State College.
Senior Seth Hall was honored for completing three years in the Decatur County School System baseball program. He was escorted by his parents Michael and Lisa Hall and his brother Blake Hall. After graduation he plans to attend Georgia Southwestern University.
Allie Deal, daughter of Darren and Tammy Deal, was honored for being a Diamond Doll for four years. She was escorted by her father. She is a member of the Anchor Club, secretary of the Honor Society and a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. After graduation she, plans to attend Bainbridge State College for at least a year then transfer to Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College to pursue a career in nursing.
Jordan Graham, daughter of Daniel and Shelly Graham, was honored for being a Diamond Doll for four years. She was escorted by her father. She is a member of the cross-country team, the swimming team and the Key Club. After graduation she plans to attend Mercer University and major in biochemistry and molecular biology.
