Christopher Nundra, 23, was arrested Thursday morning after being stopped by Bainbridge Public Safety officers for vehicle theft.
BPS officer Timothy McCain spotted a silver Chevrolet Impala that matched the description and tag number of a vehicle stolen earlier that day. McCain, along with BPS officer Jayson Myers, performed a felony stop with weapons drawn. Nundra threw the keys out of the window and complied with the officers.
Nundra was charged with theft by taking, driving while license suspended and a seatbelt violation. He was booked at BPS and later transferred to the Decatur County Jail.
The Impala was returned to its owner in the Lake Douglas area.
