Mrs. Callie Elizabeth Josey King, age 64, of Bainbridge, passed away Thursday, June 25, 2015, at Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville, Georgia.  Services for Mrs. King were held Monday, June 29, 2015, 11a.m., at Cox Funeral Home Chapel.  Mr. Bobby Grubbs and the Rev. David Grubbs officiated.  Interment followed in Oak City Cemetery.  William King, Jr., Waylon Parish, Phillip Chambliss, Charles King, Aaron Parish, Ray Josey, Jr. will serve as pallbearers.  The family received friends, 6 -8 p.m., Sunday, June 28, 2015 at Cox Funeral Home Chapel.

Callie Elizabeth Josey was born in Bainbridge, Georgia, February 17, 1951, to Lawrence Edward Josey and Christine Elizabeth Earnest Josey.  She married Willie King, who preceded her in death in 2009.  They were married 48 years.  Callie enjoyed fishing and camping.  She loved to work in her yard.  In her early years she enjoyed playing volleyball.  She was a “serious” player.  Her volleyball nickname was “Killer Callie”.  Callie loved to eat at Burger King.  Callie King will be sorely missed by the family she loved so much.

Callie is survived by her children, Loretta Ezell of Bainbridge, Georgia, Teresa Trawick and husband, Ralph of Climax, Christy King of Climax, William King and wife, Phyllis of Donalsonville; grandchildren, Reba Grubbs and Christina Ezell of Bainbridge, Ashley Matthews and husband, Chad of Climax, Joshua Trawick and wife, Chelsey of Bainbridge, William King, Jr. and Tiffany King of Donalsonville; great-grandchildren, Ciara Grubbs, Gabriel Grubbs, Madison Trawick and Braden Trawick; sisters and brother, Virginia Brogdon, Linda Key, Gail Ezell, Sheila Scott, Jeanna West, and Ray Josey.
