Nine-year-old Raegan Moore has been in the habit of getting her hair cut every year as soon as school is out. But last year, after learning about an organization called Wigs for Kids, she decided to forego the haircut until this summer.

She needed to have at least 12 inches of hair to donate.

At the end of this school year she received a cute bob style cut at Walmart’s Smart Style and was able to donate 13 inches of blond hair.

She found the site of the Westlake, Ohio organization on the Internet, and said, “I wanted to help a child feel better when they are sick.”

Raegan is the daughter of Jennifer Moore of Bainbridge and Chris Moore of Climax. This fall she will be a fourth grade student at Potter Street School where she is always on the honor roll and loves cheerleading.
