Coach Brian Carnes Grace Christian Academy Cougars co-ed soccer team that concluded their season with a 2-2-1 record recently honored their four seniors for the contributions they made to the team.

Senior defensive player Hannah Holden played midfield where coach Carnes said he was happy to have her. “Hannah is a strong player who is not afraid to go up against anybody on the team,” coach Carnes said.

Coach Carnes likes senior defensive player Dakota Vickers’ athletic ability. “Dakota came to us last year as a first time soccer player and brought with him a lot of athletic ability and pure speed, and he’s worked hard to add soccer skills to the mix. His great attitude made him a go-to-guy to plug into almost any position on the field,” coach Carnes said.

Center midfielder Annabelle Smith had what coach Carnes called great determination and a great work ethic.

“I have had the privilege to work with Annabelle since middle school both at the Bainbridge-Decatur County YMCA and at Grace Christian Academy and she has been a regular at midfield and defense for the Cougars,” coach Carnes said.

Midfielder Perra Harrell is a great all around athlete who coach Carnes said was able to come in and make some real contributions to the team at midfield as a first year soccer player. She had a great attitude and was always willing to listen and learn.
