While responding to an attempted burglary, Bainbridge Public Safety officers arrested a Florida man on drug charges.
Kevin Keeon Hudson, 24, of Belle Glade, Florida, was charged with controlled substance – possession of cocaine.
Friday night around 11:30, PSOs Jason Barlow and Humberto Dean responded to an attempted burglary and reports of an unknown man trying to get into an apartment at the James Town Apartments on Palm Street.
The officers made contact with Hudson who was inside one of the apartments near the reported attempted burglary. Officers requested to search Hudson because he “was perspiring very heavily and was acting extremely paranoid” and that his “eyes were continuously constricted,” according to the incident report.
Barlow found a cigarette box in Hudson’s pocket that contained two small bags along with cigarettes. One of the bags was empty with a white powder residue and the other contained suspected cocaine.
