A woman from Havana, Florida, was arrested in Bainbridge Sunday and charged on 24 counts after allegedly refusing to pull over for local police on Shotwell Street.

Jasmine Simone Douglas, 28, received charges ranging from failure to maintain the lane to laying drags, many of which were charged multiple times.

Around 11 a.m. Sunday, Bainbridge Public Safety Officer C. Strickland was traveling west down Albany Road when he saw Douglas’ vehicle, a silver Dodge Ram truck, turn onto Albany Road, spinning out her tires and sending black emission from the exhaust, according to BPS reports.

Douglas was booked at BPS at 11:11 a.m. and transferred to 7:04 p.m. Sunday. According to the DCSO website, Douglas has served three days in jail and is still booked as of Tuesday evening.

Douglas is charged with five counts of failure to maintain lane, four counts of failure to use turn signals, three counts of failure to stop at a red light or a stop sign, two counts of reckless driving, two counts of laying drags, two counts of fleeing or attempting to elude police officers driving while license suspended or revoked, reckless conduct, adult seat belt violation, visible emission from vehicle and driving under the influence.

Douglas’ bond amounts for her 24 charges at BPS totaled more than $8,000.
