Cecil Lofley Hinson Sr.
Funeral services for Cecil Lofley Hinson Sr., 71, of Hinsonton, will be held Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at 10 a.m. at Willis-Jamerson-Braswell Funeral Home with interment in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens in Pelham, Ga. Rev. Stacey West will officiate. Pallbearers will be Greg Wells, Michael Wayne Gibson, Russell Fowler, Coleman Harrison, Mike Pope, Tommy Windhausen, Jeff Allen and Aaron Edwards. Honorary pallbearers will be the Deacons of Hinsonton Baptist Church, Mike Chastain, Jimmy Lee Holmes, Mike Gainous, Buddy Logue, Bo Logue, Mac Rosencrantz and Joseph Brinson.
Born February 5, 1944, in Hinsonton, Mitchell County, Georgia, he was the son of the late Lyman G. Hinson and Maxine Hatcher Hinson.
Mr. Hinson was the founding owner of Flint River Timber Company as a forester. He was a member and Deacon of Hinsonton Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Sue M. Hinson; sons Cecil Lofley Hinson Jr. (Barbara), Daniel Lyman Hinson (Laura); grandchildren Hunter L. Hinson, Haley S. Hinson, D. Lyman Hinson, Leigh Hinson and Levi Hinson; brother John L. Hinson (Judy), Brother and sisters-in law, Ronnie Morrell (Caroline), L’Amiel McDaniel, Steve Morrell (Becky) and Alex Morrell (Gwanna) and a special cousin, Marcee Doo; and a large number of loving nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lyman G. Hinson and Maxine Hatcher Hinson; brother-in-law Andy McDaniel.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, December 1, 2015.
