Tyree Crump and D’Anta Williams combined for 28 points Tuesday to lead coach Rickey McCullough’s Bainbridge High School Bearcats to a 79-49 victory over the Thomas County Central High School Yellow Jackets.

Crump led the way with 15 points and Williams put in 13. Trevon Shaw and Myles Thomas scored 8 apiece, Devontae Jones scored 7, Jordan Davis scored 4, Ladon Crankfield scored 3 and Milton Gayle scored 2.

Coach McCullough said he thought his team, which improved their record to 3-3 with the win over the Yellow Jackets, turned in a strong effort in the game.

“We had a really balanced scoring effort and played solid defense Tuesday night,” the Bearcats head coach said. “We are continuing to show improvement every time we go on the court.”

Following Friday night’s game against the Cairo High School Syrupmakers in Cairo and tonight’s game against the Thomasville High School Bulldogs at home, the Bearcats will travel to Fort Walton Beach Florida to compete in the Dec. 28-30 Southern Beach Blowout Tournament.
