Bainbridge Public Safety arrested Charles Gordon, 64, on drug charges last Thursday after discovering 32 pieces of crack cocaine in his possession. BPS officers raided Gordon’s apartment after a tip helped them secure a search warrant.
“A concerned citizen called to say he was selling crack,” Investigator Chip Nix said.
When BPS officers entered the apartment, they found the drugs as well as a firearm.
“The gun was within arm’s reach,” Nix said.
This led to felony charges of Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm during the commission of or attempt to commit a crime.
Gordon is also facing felony charges for possession of cocaine and possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute within 1000 feet of a park or housing project.
