Eighth grade Bearcats close out season with win over Indians

The Bainbridge Middle School eighth grade Tigers used a balanced scoring attack that featured three men hitting in double figures Wednesday to down the visiting Seminole County Middle School eighth grade Indians 62-54 and conclude their season with a 5-5 record.
“It is an important thing to end the regular season on a winning note,” Bearcats head coach Heith Maxwell said after the game. “Our players gave it their all tonight. They played strong defense and really got after loose balls. They played good ball the entire season and I am really proud of all of them.
Leading the way for the Bearcats Wednesday was point guard Dewayne Kyles with 13 points. Shooting guard Jailyn Peterson added 11 and small forward Jeremiah McClain put in 10.
Rounding out the Bearcats scoring column were center Anthony Florence with 8. Power forward Jordan Brown with 7, forwards Tevin McCray and bobby Willis with 4 apiece, guards Timothy Tarveer and Kenny Clark, both with 2 and guard Amari
Walker with 1.
The Bearcats took command early, jumping out to 16-7 lead at the end of the first quarter. They ked 29-15 at halftime and 48-24 after three quarters.
