Tianna Miller signs with Forest Trails Sports University

Bainbridge basketball player Tianna Miller signed a scholarship Thursday to bring her talents to Forest Trails Sports University Lady Timberwolves in Concord, North Carolina.
“Tianna comes from a great basketball program there at Bainbridge High School and I believe that she will be able to contribute to our program, develop her game, and mature as a young women,” Lady Timberwolves coach Andrew Prater said in a release.
Miller averaged 3.7 points per game, scoring 82 points her senior season. She snagged 20 offensive rebounds and 19 defensive rebounds, had 19 assists, 31 steals and two blocks.
Miller said she was excited to become a Lady Timberwolf.
“I really like how they will help you where you need to be helped out,” Miller said. “(Coach Prater) is really nice. He will work with me. I told him about some things I couldn’t do, and he said he would help me.”
FTSU is a private university that will open its doors for the first time in August 2016.
The university’s mission is to provide varsity and recreational athletics to all students while seeking a degree.
