A second suspect has been arrested in relation to the cocaine bust that occurred at the Howard Johnson Inn on Tuesday, Aug. 2.
Terrance Jones, 28, was arrested and charged with trafficking in cocaine and possession of marijuana when Bainbridge Public Safety Officer located him at his home according to Investigator Chris Jordan.
Officers originally responded to the Howard Johnson on Aug. 2 after someone complained of smelling burnt marijuana coming from the pool area. According to Jordan, when officers arrived on the scene, two suspects fled. It was later determined that one of the two was Jones. The room at the Howard Johnson was registered in his name and according to Jordan there was additional evidence in the room that pointed to Jones being one of the two suspects at large.
Jarard Johnson, 27, was arrested at the scene and charged with trafficking in cocaine and possession of marijuana.
The second suspect who was at large has been identified by BPS, but a judge denied a request to issue a warrant for the suspect’s arrest due to a lack of physical evidence tying him to the scene.
