Barbara Collison is well known in the area for her knitting and crocheting skills. She always has handmade articles for sale at the St. John’s Episcopal Church Bazaar and is a member of the local knitting club that meets on Wednesday afternoons at First Methodist Church.

What she is probably the least known for is crocheting warm baby caps for the nursery at Memorial Hospital. This is a project she has been doing for three or four years.

Every year she makes approximately 100 caps for the newborns.

This week she delivered a tray of 47 new hats to the hospital.
