Dasie “Dee” Koler, 82, of Bainbridge, Ga., passed away Monday, January 9, 2017.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 12, 2017, at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memory Gardens.

Dasie Belle Carpenter was born August 27, 1934. She married Fred Koler and worked as a wholesale manager for Safeway in the Washington DC area. Dee lived in Decatur County for the last 30 years and was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Bainbridge.
Dee was very opinionated and didn’t mind sharing her ideas on any subject. She enjoyed yard work. In fact, her yard has been described as “picture perfect”. Dee loved poodles, especially her Fancy.
Survivors include her son, Russell Smedley, Jr. and his wife, Connie, of Daleville, Ala; her son-in-law, Keith Harrison, of Climax; her grandchildren, Rusty Smedley, Rachelle Ford, Tiffany Lukas, Kenny Smedley and Christy Marsh; her eleven great-grandchildren; and her precious poodle, Fancy. Dee was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Koler, and her daughter, Linda Harrison.
