Bainbridge Pharmacy will soon be able to claim that in addition to their pharmacists, all of their employees who work behind the prescription counter are certified pharmacy technicians.
Last week three of them took the test and passed, giving them the title certified pharmacy technician. They can now add CPhT after their names.
Garrett Weaver, a resident of Climax, has worked at Bainbridge Pharmacy for nine years. He began while in high school as a delivery person, a position he maintained for four years, before starting on-the-job training. After five years he can now claim the title of a certified pharmacy technician.
Two other employees, Lindsay Cone and Megan Langston, also went with Weaver to the testing center in Tallahassee and became certified. Lindsay is a resident of Attapulgus and has 7 years working in the pharmacy field, one of them at Bainbridge. Megan Langston is from Havana and has worked in the field for 10 years, with three of them at Bainbridge Pharmacy.
In just two weeks, two others, Lori Albritton and Kem Yatta Smiley, will make the trip for testing to achieve their certification status.
