Turner-Cecil engagement announced
Brandie Turner, originally of Cairo, and Blake Cecil, originally of Cartersville, Ga., are announcing their engagement and approaching marriage.
Miss Turner is the daughter of Donnie Turner and Robin Glenn and the granddaughter of Frank and Jean Elkins and the Late Bruce and Ethel Turner.
The bride-elect is a 2010 graduate of Cairo High School. She earned an Associates of Arts from Bainbridge State College and is employed as an insurance agent at Jim Scarbrough State Farm.
The groom-to-be is the son of David and Laurie Cecil and the grandson of Dr. Joy Bailey and the late Ms. Charlene Cecil.
Mr. Cecil graduated from Woodland High School in Cartersville, Ga. in 2004 and earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Physical Education from Jacksonville State University.
He is employed as a physical education teacher and coach at Hutto Middle School, serves as a defensive end coach for the Bainbridge Bearcats, and is an assistant baseball coach.
The wedding is planned for June 3 at Hidden Pond in Hinsonton, Ga. at 7 p.m. All family and friends are invited to attend.
