Enjoy an evening as a southern belle or gent at the Memorial Hospital Foundation’s 6th Annual Derby Party Fundraiser.
On May 6, 2017, at Southwind Plantation in Decatur County, Derby Party attendees will take pleasure in seeing derby style at its finest – from the decorations to the attire – frilly hats, bowties and all.
The evening will begin with a social hour at 6 p.m. Then guests will indulge in a delicious southern style dinner while seated under the big white tent, followed by the sounds of musical group, The Blues Factor. Guests will also have the opportunity to bid on some great silent and live auction items during the evening.
Memorial Hospital Foundation, Inc. is pleased to once again host this fundraiser for the benefit of our local hospital. Since 1989 the Foundation has donated nearly $1.7 million to Memorial Hospital and Manor for equipment purchases and other capital improvements. This year the Foundation will donate a bone densitometer, EKG machines, vital sign monitors, and a centralized temperature monitoring system to the hospital. Annual fundraisers supported by the community, engaged volunteers, and generous donations from businesses and citizens have helped make these purchases and improvements possible.
The public is invited to attend the Derby Party Fundraiser so put on your frilly hats, bowties, and best derby attire and join the fun on May 6. Event tickets are $75 each and may be purchased in advance by contacting Carole Clenney at 229-243-6105 at Memorial Hospital or any committee member listed on our Memorial Hospital Foundation Derby Facebook page.
