Alice O. Miller

January 22, 2018

Alice O. Miller, age 79, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2018. She was born May 4, 1938, to William and Lovie Donley in Bainbridge, Georgia. She is survived by her husband, Bob Miller, and daughter Kathy Miller Patages and husband George Patages. Her brothers J.T. and Hilton Donley and her sister Betty Johnson preceded her in death.

She dearly loved her extended family in Georgia and talked almost daily with her sister-in-law. Alice and Bob were married in Bainbridge on December 15, 1956, where they met while Bob was attending pilot school in the Air Force.

Alice loved to cook and their assignment to France afforded her the opportunity to learn French cooking and also to take up painting.

After retiring from the Air Force in 1970, they moved to Casselberry in 1971. In 1973, without any formal training, she founded Alice Miller Interiors, specializing in model home marketing. Her business grew to encompass all areas of interior design. Her creative works have won many awards for excellence and have received national recognition in Better Homes and Gardens and Builder Magazine.

Alice was a loving, caring woman whose kindness touched many lives. She will be greatly missed. Alice will be remembered at a memorial service on Saturday, February 10th at 2 p.m. at the Maitland Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate a donation to Alzheimer’s Disease Research, 22512 Gateway Center Drive, Clarksburg, MD 20871
