Bernard “Buck” Harold Angell, 77, of Bainbridge, Ga., formerly of Charleston, South Carolina passed away Saturday, January 19, 2019.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Monday, January 21, 2019 at Ivey Funeral Home. Bernard “Buck” Harold Angell was born March 27, 1941, in Wilmington, Delaware, the son of Burnard Colwell and Antionette McKoewn Angell. He graduated from high school and made his way working for Texaco until his retirement. Buck was Episcopalian by faith.
Buck never met a stranger. He was one to “give the shirt off his back” if you needed it. He shared his love for others by devoting himself to the Boy Scouts as a troop leader. He enjoyed fishing, NASCAR and animals. Buck left an impression on each person he met especially at his favorite hang out, Waffle House.
Survivors include his children, Kevin Angell and his wife, Suzanne, of Bainbridge, Ga., Sydney Heard of Bainbridge, and Elizabeth Knox and her husband, Jason, of Edison, Ga.; his sister, Dellora James and her husband, Richard Lt. Col. Ret., of St. Simons, Ga. ; his grandchildren, Katie Heard, Jeremy Greene, Sara Angell, Dallas Knox and Denver Knox; and numerous nieces and nephews. Buck was preceded in death by his parents; and his fiancé, Linda Quesenberry.
