Miss Varner to wed Mr. Thomas

Ariel LaFaye Varner and Jameson Deaunte’ Thomas, both of Bainbridge are announcing there engagement.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Frank and Mattie Varner of Attapulgus, and the granddaughter of the late Claud and Pearlie Mae Cosby, of Bainbridge, Ga., and Elgen and Frances Varner of Panama City, Florida, also deceased.

The bride graduated from Bainbridge High School in 2010 and is employed at the Decatur County Sherriff’s Office as a deputy.

The groom is the son of David and Pastor Fayetta Thomas and the grandson of “Granny” Birdie Mae Footman of Bainbridge, the late Rev. Paul Thomas and the late Ms. Rebecca Thomas of Rochester N.Y. and the late Rev. Ulysses and Demeritt Dunehoe of Bainbridge and Mr. Thomas is employed as General Manager of Diablos Southwest Grill, Bainbridge.

The wedding is planned for August 10, 2019, at 4 p.m. at the Grady Cultural Center in Cairo, by invitation only.
