A few former Bainbridge football players are seeing playing time and making plays at the college level.

Roman Harrison, the 2018 Class AAAAA Defensive Player, has played in two games for the Volunteers this season. He’s racked up 4 tackles (1 solo, 3 assists and 1 hurry). During the 2018 season, Harrison had 79 solo tackles, 18 assists and 8.5 sacks. He blocked a Warner Robins field goal in the 2018 Class AAAAA State Championship game that sent the contest into overtime, where Bainbridge eventually won 47-41.

The Volunteers look as if they will continue to work Harrison in more and more as the season goes on. Tennessee is 1-2, with a 45-0 win over Chattanooga on Saturday.

Randy Fillingame and Bryce Worthy, a dynamic duo from the class of 2019 who made a name for themselves at linebacker for the Bearcats during the 2018 state championship run, are together at LaGrange and continuing right where they left off.

Through two games, Fillingame has racked up 6 tackles and 6 assists and Bryce Worthy has 4 tackles and 2 assists. Their senior year, Fillingame and Worthy combined for 155 solo tackles and 69 assists. Fillingame led the team in solo tackles with 87.

The LaGrange Panthers are 1-1, opening the season with a 29-14 win over Birmingham Southern then falling 34-9 to Berry last weekend.

In Statesboro, linebacker Zyon McGee has been getting some quality playing time as well for Georgia Southern. McGee, a redshirt freshman on the Eagles, has 2 solo tackles and 2 assists this season as an outside linebacker. McGee has had the opportunity to travel to LSU and Minnesota this season, both of which were games where he racked up 1 tackle apiece.
