Willlie Donelle “Don” Murkerson

Willie Donelle “Don” Murkerson, age 73, of Donalsonville, Ga. passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at the Donalsonville Hospital.

Funeral services for Mr. Murkerson will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2019, at 11 a.m. at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Love officiating. Burial will follow in White Plains Cemetery in Lucille, Ga.Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Murkerson was born on September 25, 1946, in Colquitt, Ga. to the late Lawson Donelle Murkerson and Willie Jewell Musgrove Murkerson. He was a retired truck driver with the Decatur County Water Works, and he attended the Donalsonville Church of God.

Mr. Murkerson is survived by his wife, Lola Butler Murkerson of Donalsonville; his daughters, Alicia German of Headland, Ala. and Alanda Fulton of Dothan, Ala.; his son, James Lindsey of Climax, Ga.; his brother, Ted Murkerson and his wife Wanda of Donalsonville; his sisters, Elizabeth Harris and her husband Bill of Climax, Ga. and Lillian Smith of Brinson, Ga.; his grandchildren, Brooke German, Cory German, Selina Algarin, Raychel Middleton, Erica Lisenby, and Marque Lindsey; and his great grandchildren, Ellora Laine Lisenby, and Alexander Lindsey. He his also survived by several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawson Donelle Murkerson and Willie Jewell Musgrove Murkerson; and a brother, Winston Steve Murkerson.
