Mrs. Wanda Musgrove Johnson, 78, passed away Monday, November 25, 2019, at Memorial Hospital in Bainbridge, Georgia.  Services were held at 2 p.m., Friday, November 29, 2019, at the Bainbridge First Church of the Nazarene.  The Rev. David Grubbs officiated.  Interment followed in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Climax, Georgia.  The family received friends one hour before the service, beginning at 1 p.m.

Wanda Jean Musgrove was born October 21, 1941, to Roland Olan Musgrove and Evelyn Lavelle Rentz Musgrove.  February 1, 1965, she married Roy R. Johnson.  Wanda worked for the Gadsden County School System in the cafeteria.  She was a faithful, dedicated member of the Bainbridge First Church of the Nazarene.  Wanda had a servant’s heart.  She was generous to others with her time and talents.  Wanda was the Ladies Ministry Director and served as a Steward on the Board of the Nazarene Church.  She was there to cook, clean, serve, whatever was needed.  She was always ready to help with a kind word or the right scripture.  If a word or scripture didn’t fix the situation, she would pull out one of her famous pound cakes.   She was a 5 ft. stick of dynamite!  For the past six years she has faithfully cared for her mother.  She was so proud of her husband and so deeply loved Roy, her children, and grandchildren.  She was greatly enjoying being a great-grandmother.

Wanda Musgrove Johnson is survived by her husband of over 54 years, Roy R. Johnson of Bainbridge; her mother, Evelyn Musgrove Hutchens of Bainbridge: children, Rita K. Josey (Al) of Tallahassee, Florida and Gary A. Arnold (Amy) of Hinesville, Georgia; sisters and brother, Joyce Harrison, Phyllis Forrester (Bill), Patricia Shillcutt (Sam), Ramonia Musgrove, and Ricky Musgrove (Donnis Bates); grandchildren, Brooke Barr (Hunter), Ashley Arnold, Courtney Arnold, and Jason Josey; great grandchildren, Jack and Clyde; and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her father, Roland Olan Musgrove, and brother, Roland Olan Musgrove, Jr.
