The Alpha Omicron Chapter of The Georgia State Organization of The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International is proud to announce the addition of Spring Creek Charter Academy of Bainbridge to the list of schools eligible for its Supporting Early-career Educators (SEE) project. SCCA new teachers receiving recognition are: Krystal Apke, Anna Barber, Rachel Bray, and Akaysia Gantt, all of Bainbridge; Becky Lucas of Blakely; and Kristan Smith of Colquitt.
To qualify for the recognition, the “early career” women educators had to begin their first year of teaching during the 2019-2020 school term and be employed by schools in the chapter’s geographical area which includes Baker, Decatur, Early, Miller, and Seminole Counties. They also had to have clear, renewable teaching certificates verified by the school system. Each educator received a letter of congratulations and a Walmart gift card for classroom supplies.
Alpha Omicron Chapter implemented the Supporting Early-career Educators (SEE) project to embrace The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International Vision Statement— Leading Women Educators Impacting Education Worldwide. DKG is a professional honor society for women educators founded in 1929 in Austin, Texas.
Congratulations to these new SCCA educators!
