The National Guard will be visiting Memorial Manor this weekend for a thorough disinfecting and cleaning of the facility.
There have been no issues or positive Coronavirus test results among residents at the Manor, according to authorities. The Manor’s cleaning is just one example of an extra precaution the National Guard is taking across the country to minimize the spread of Coronavirus.
Decatur County’s case count continues to rise, though, reaching 55 confirmed cases and no deaths as of Friday afternoon. Memorial Hospital and Manor has reportedly completed 223 tests, with 33 positive results. Other positive results reported to the DPH are done by private providers in Bainbridge.
Southwest Georgia’s biggest hotspot, Albany, has reported 1,381 cases and 91 deaths. A total of 17,194 Georgians have tested positive for the respiratory virus and 650 have been killed by it, according to the Georgia Department of Public Health.
