Rayford Franklin “Frank” Faircloth, Sr. of Ringgold, Ga., passed away in Chattanooga, Tenn. on Sunday, December 20, 2020.
Frank was born January 10, 1936, in Decatur County, Ga., the son of Rayford Dooley Faircloth and Nancy Jane Dollar Faircloth. He was a graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from the University of Georgia. Frank received his Master’s Degree in Theology from the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and later became an ordained minister. A long-time loyal and dedicated employee of the Internal Revenue Service, he retired with 49 years of service. He served in the National Guard and was member of Albany Masonic Lodge #24. He loved the Lord and loved sharing the plan of salvation with those he came to know.
Survivors include his son, Rayford “Ray” Franklin Faircloth, Jr. and daughter, Rhonda Sue Faircloth Mainland, both of Atlanta, Ga.. A special niece, Laura Jane White of Attapulgus, Ga.. A special great niece, Denise Nalley, her husband, Scott Nalley, and her children, William Nalley & Laura Beth Nalley, all of Ringgold, and Scott Jr. of Sandy Springs, Ga. He is also survived by a host of nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Milton Faircloth, Wright Callahan “W.C.” Faircloth, William Faircloth and his sisters Bernice Faircloth White and Evelyn Faircloth Finuff and grandson, Aubrey Nolan.
Mr. Faircloth will be buried at the Delwood Baptist Church Cemetery in Camilla, Ga.. The burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Maranatha Baptist Church 3418 Thomasville Road Climax, GA 39834.
