Bainbridge High School Softball Coach Christopher Bryant has announced the tryout dates for the Lady Cats and Middle School Lady Cats team.
The high school team will be comprised of 9th through 12th graders and tryouts will be held May 5-7 at the BHS Softball Complex from 6-7:45 p.m. The middle school team will be open to students grades sixth through eighth and tryouts will also be May 5-7 at the BHS Softball Complex from 3:45-5:30 p.m.
Bryant has requested that all participants have a current physical on file in order to participate. He said there will be free physicals given to all softball candidates on May 4th in the BHS Gymnasium from 6-6:30 p.m.
He also requests all ladies be on time for check in.
Check in for middles school starts at 3:30 p.m., while check in for high school players begins at 5:45 p.m.
Everyone should make sure they are dressed appropriately. Bryant said everyone must wear closed toed shoes and that if their outfit isn’t something they can wear to school, then it isn’t something they should wear at tryouts either.
Everyone should come to tryouts with the proper equipment, including bats, gloves, etc.
During tryouts, no parents will be allowed on the field; only coaches and candidates will be present. However, parents who wish to observe tryouts can watch from outside the complex.
All candidates must have their own source of water and COVID-19 guidelines will be followed during the tryouts.
Following tryouts, team selections will be posted on Bryant’s teacher webpage on the BHS website.
Bryant encourages any questions to be directed to him at cbryant@dcboe.com and looks forward to seeing everyone at tryouts.
