Kenneth Reshard is a native Tallahasseean. He attended Tallahassee Community College and Florida A&M University where he majored in Fine Arts. He works in many media, ceramics, painting, drawing, printmaking, graphics and collage. Sometimes, he combines techniques in a single piece. His work is rich both in surface quality and in symbolic expression. Deep colors, gold leaf, and rhythmic patterns create compositions, which are almost musical. His work combines images of African textiles, cubist fractures, and modern frontality. Reshard loves using his hands and mind in creating works, which reflect his own sensibility and reality.
His art has been exhibited in over 25 locations around the southeast. His work has been published in local and international publications. Kenneth also has a seat on the board of the 621 Art Gallery, a local art gallery here in Tallahassee, Florida.
