Hello Bainbridge!
My name is Troyce. I am originally from Milton, Ga.
I am currently in my senior year at the University of Georgia. I am studying Journalism at Grady College and I am minoring in Spanish. I am also part of the John Huland Carmical Sports Media Institute, where I will receive a certificate in sports media.
From that, you can probably tell I stay pretty busy. But I enjoy what I do!
I am here at the Post-Searchlight during my last week of winter break. I am here on behalf of the Digital Natives program from UGA.
Here I will be assisting the staff on the digital side of things. So be on the lookout for some exciting changes online.
Before coming here I had an internship at The Atlanta Track Club. I was on the marketing and social media team there, which was a very enjoyable experience.
I also create social media content for companies like Amazon, Kendra Scott, Aerie, Proactiv, and more! It’s a great way for me to express my creativity while at work. It makes working feel less like a job and more of just a place to create. Feel free to connect with me on Instagram @troyceee if any of that interests you.
When I am not creating content for social media I am probably at a sporting event covering the game. Studying sports media in school is the perfect way to combine some of my favorite things: writing and sports.
In addition to my love for these, I also model for an agency in Atlanta. Doing this I have got to see some pretty cool events, and again this is another creative outlet for me!
Be on the lookout for a few columns that I’ll be writing while I’m here. I can’t wait to get around and explore Bainbridge.
Also, be sure to stay active on social media so you keep up with everything we are doing here at the Post-Searchlight.
