A large crowd gathered at the Bainbridge Country Club last Thursday evening, as sponsors of River Town Days gathered for the Chamber’s sponsorship dinner. This year’s dinner honored three year’s worth of sponsors, from those who initially sponsored 2020’s cancelled River Town Days, and through 2021 to this year. According to Chamber president Lauren Minor, this was a total of 105 sponsors. “We had a representative from a great majority there,” she said of the dinner. “We had over 150 people in attendance there at the country club.”
Originally, the dinner was scheduled to take place at the Boat Basin, on the same day as River Town days, but was cancelled on account of the weather. “The strong winds that we had kept us from putting the tent up and we really felt like we wanted our sponsors to have good conditions the day of, and to be able to honor their investment that way, so we felt it was best that we postpone it,” Minor explained.
The food was provided by Catering by J-Lo, and Kevin Whoo provided the music, while the party itself was sponsored by New Hire Solutions. “We appreciate them for helping us coordinate the sponsor party,” Minor said. “From what I’ve heard, everyone’s really enjoyed it. They enjoyed the chance to mingle and see each other, so really it’s all been positive.”
She concluded, saying, “We’re so thankful to actually be able to hold it and gather together, but really more so to express our thank you to this group of people who allow us to put on an event for the community that is iconic… I don’t think Bainbridge would be the same without River Town Days, and it’s because of this group that we’re able to have it.”
